Frank Graveson, a Life Member of the Society from the Auckland Branch and from the Old Antarctic Explorers, will describe the little known history of the dogs on the Antarctic continent since the late 1800’s and the challenges they faced. From first hand experience as a dog handler in 1962 – 64, he examines their work, performance, and value as companions.
